PRESS RELEASE – APRIL, 2006
Cuyahoga Molded Plastics is pleased to announce our new line of high temperature “Lead-Free Silicone Molding Compounds”. These are rigid, non-elastomeric materials used in the Passive Electronics, Thermocouple, Sensor and Welding Manufacturer markets. Unlike other compounds in use today, these new materials contain No Lead and are unique in that they have full regulatory compliance including the European RoHS Directive. This line of materials has been evaluated in multiple applications and is now in active use. They have been designed to have more than acceptable properties of; dielectric strength, thermal shock resistance, and temperature resistance to greater than 800F (425C).
We believe we are the first to offer a truly LEAD-FREE line of Silicone Molding Compounds at a competitive price. These materials are suitable replacements for:
SHINETZU SILICONES KMC MOLDING COMPOUNDS
DOW CORNING DC MOLDING COMPOUNDS
GE SILICONES MC-550 MOLDING COMPOUND
